Successful ~ Trustworthy ~ Organized ~ Respectful ~ Motivated

Wednesday, November 18, 2020 ~ End of Term 1 Early Release Day ~ Teachers will be working on report cards.

You still have time to schedule your fall conferences!!

Conference scheduling will close on Monday morning, November 23 at 8:00am. If a conference time needs to be changed, added or re-scheduled, please email that teacher individually.

Parent/guardians will sign up in Skyward for 15-minute blocks (10 minutes for each conference, 5 minutes for transition). We are encouraging you to connect with all of your student's teachers (not Advisory teacher), however we recommend that you schedule with at least the top three subjects where your student is struggling academically, with engagement, attendance, etc.

We encourage all parents to bring their children to conference Zoom meetings, as having students present makes conferences more productive.

Conferences are scheduled through Family Access by clicking on the conference tab on the left-hand side of the page and selecting the "all conferences" link (directions below). Once you have scheduled you will receive an email from the teacher with a zoom link. Please understand that not all teachers may be available on the same day.

  • Zoom Links will be sent to you from the teacher you have scheduled with.

If you are unable to attend, or there are no available meeting times with the teacher you would like to meet with, then please email that teacher or visit them during one of their three office hours the week following Thanksgiving break.

If you would like to set up a meeting with your student's counselor, please email or call to set up an appointment. See contact information for counselors below:

Be sure you know your Skyward login and password. If you need help retrieving this information, please contact the front office at 360-458-1100.

After meeting with teachers at conferences, you will be directed to a parent survey on your conference and school experience.

Thank you and we look forward to meeting with you!

Yelm Community Schools partners with the Department of Defense (DoD) to support our military families and students through several grants totaling $2.5 million. These additional funds benefit all students. Each year the district needs to report to the DoD the number of military-connected students in the district. The more military-connected families we can identify the more likely DoD is to continue funding these grants.

We are asking all military-connected families to either contact their school's office and let them know your military connected status or you can log in to Family Access to update your military status. See directions below...
