TEAMING UP FOR A CAUSE
Girls Scout Daisy Troop 8083 and the Plattsburg Lady Tiger Basketball Team are collecting Pop Tabs to donate to the Ronald McDonald House Charities - Kansas City. Our Goal is to fill up an entire 55 gallon Trash can with tabs to donate and we need your help! Help us #MakeADifference.
What is the Ronald McDonald House?
Ronald McDonald House Charities Ronald McDonald House provides a Home Away From Home for families who must travel to Kansas City for their child’s medical care. Our two Houses and Family Room provide lodging for more than 7,000 families each year. The Houses are run through donations and from the profit from recycled pop tabs.
Why Pop Tabs?
Pop tabs are small, easy to collect and store. They can be turned into money to help pay for expenses of running the Ronald McDonald House.
Why not the entire can?
The pop tab is pure aluminum where the can contains paint and other residue.
Where can we donate our tabs?
Tabs can be placed in ziplock bags and dropped of in any of the School Offices. Tabs can be turned in at basketball games as well. The can will be located by the entrance. You can drop off your tabs and enjoy some Lady Tiger basketball!
