Loving Learning
This week we will read a realistic fiction story called "The Stone Garden." We will explore the prefixes re- and un-. We will continue working on the skill of summarizing a story. I will continue giving the DRA (reading) test to students one at a time. We will complete our STAR reading and STAR math testing in the computer lab.
Writing
We will continue strengthening our realistic fiction writing. We will also start some end of the year reflection writing. I am so proud of how the students have grown into independent writers this year.
Math
We will finish learning about plane shapes and solid figures and take a test. We will begin Topic 16 on early fraction skills.
I-Week
Innovation week is coming! We will start discussing what that is and what we will create.
Friday we will have some visitors from the early childhood center. They will do some centers with our class because they will be in my kindergarten room next year.
