PTC Kids Marathon details : Waiver Due, October 12th
The Kid's Marathon is Sat., Oct. 15th! We will be sending an invitation home with your student if they met the requirements to run the last 1.2 to make a marathon (the invitation will include location and times). The invitation will come home Thurs., Oct. 6th. This is short notice, but we want as many runners as we can get to run the Kid's Marathon!
It will be a quick turn around for the waiver to come back to school for the race, so please be on the look-out for it!

- Remember, there is not a magical age when children start remembering things for school or when they are able to manage their own affairs
- Start empowering them from an early age. For example, you might pack your 5 year old's backpack and have them watch you to make sure everything is in there for school. With an 8 year old, you might have them pack their backpack and then ask "Let's double check to make sure you have everything you need"
- Natural consequences are great learning moments for kids. Let the natural consequence occur if they forget their chromebook and then ask "how can I help you, so this doesn't happen again?" The natural consequence is punishment enough, no need to scold them. This also saves you from being the "bad guy."
