Morning Message
Dear Victor Primary,
Happy Thursday! Looking to have some fun today? Try to make shadow animals with your hands. Find a dark room. Ask an adult if you can shine a light from a lamp or flashlight so you can cast a shadow. What animals can you make? Here is a video that may give you even more ideas! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uv-MdaBfk8U
Happy Creating!

This week we will review sight words and play online games. What words do you know as a writer in a snap? Pick 5 new words each day this week and practice them. Pick them from your word wall chart. Choose a new way to practice each day:
Rainbow write with colored markers or crayons
Write them in shaving cream
Use a wet paintbrush on paper or or the driveway
Water color them on paper
Spell them using goldfish, cereal, or fruit snacks
If you have not finished your Handwriting Without Tear’s Handwriting Book, complete a page or two today.

IT'S BRAIN BREAK TIME!!
Learn to look up in order to feel up with this empowering mindfulness exercise!
Writing
Description of Work:
Which friend are you going to write to today? You can tell them which book you vote for for Reading Madness and why!
From your Friendship List, pick out a friend to write a letter to. You can tell them:
What book did you vote for? Be sure to tell them why you picked it - remember when writing your opinion include some facts to help the reader know why you liked it.
Example: I chose Blue Sky, Yellow Kite because when the girl wrote the word Sorry, in the dirt, it made me feel good.
Ask them about their vote and why they chose it
Write a different friend each day. Mail it or send them a picture of your letter :)
If you don’t have your Friendship List, choose a family member to write a letter to.
Math
Description of Work:
Today, you are going to play Roll and Record with your family. You will need dice (see below for a link for virtual dice) and a recording sheet (You printed this on Monday, we attached it again for a blank one. Fill in the numbers on the bottom from 3-18).
Roll and Record - 3 Numbered dice. Think about your Doubles Facts and Doubles Plus 1 when you are using your math thinking.
Then, you can practice other math skills online.
