Fourth Grade AIM
It's AIM Day!
Today in AIM
Today was all about the finishing details! We used flashlights to check for holes (potential leaks), used the cricut machine to make our flags, then watched a few videos of cardboard boat races to help them feel comfortable with the very real possibility that 1) they will get wet 2) their boat will not survive the race 3) we can learn so much from this experience. They also practiced working the paddles and getting into their boats. They understand that only 2 can actually race and the other team members are boat handlers this time with the expectation to race in the spring. They should all wear their bathing suits in case someone is sick etc.,
As a reminder please plan to be at the Don Rodenbaugh Natatorium no later than 12:45 p.m. this Saturday, Sept. 28th. The race activities are scheduled for 1:00 - 2:30p.m. but I can't imagine that it will take that long. If you are bringing the boat or paddles, don't forget to bring them!
Thanks
Karen
