Dress Code and Uniform Policy Update
Dear Franklin Families;
Thank you for your commitment to the Franklin Academy uniform policy. Based upon conversations with iUniforms, our uniform grace period has ended and we will begin enforcing our dress code.
Beginning Monday, September 20th, the existing Franklin Academy dress code policy will be strictly enforced. This includes the requirement of students to be in proper Franklin Academy clothing and means that students may not wear sweaters, sweatshirts, etc. other than the ones sold by the official uniform vendor, iUniforms. As a reminder, shirts must be tucked in at all times, and students in grades 2-8 must wear belts.
Please be advised that appropriate consequences will be administered for students who are not following the dress code policy. Parents of students who are not in proper uniform may be required to come to school and bring the correct uniform before their child can return to class.
If you have a legitimate uniform concern and can provide documentation of the problem, please communicate your concern to your child’s homeroom teacher. Temporary extensions, where appropriate, may be granted by school administration on a case-by-case basis. This would apply to families, for example, that have just recently enrolled and can show that they ordered uniforms but they have not yet been delivered; or if they can show that they happened to need the particular size that may be on backorder.
Your ongoing cooperation in supporting school policy is appreciated.
Sincerely yours,
Franklin Academy Administration
