Have you heard our amazing news? We won the Trex Plastic Film Recycling Challenge (Northeast Elementary School category) for the 2nd year in a row, recycling 803 pounds, and will receive another Trex bench later this year. Thank you to all of our families for participating and encouraging recycling at home
Our 5th grade LEAD program started this week! We are so happy to have our MOPD LEAD officers back in the school and know our students will greatly enjoy this program.

On May 6th we will have our spring pictures. All students will take spring pictures and picture package purchases will be available. These pictures will be taken outside with a green screen to allow for a variety of background options. If you are a virtual student, you may attend during your homeroom's scheduled time slot. Your homeroom teacher will inform you of your time slot next week.

Free and Reduced Lunch Update
Per N.J.A.C. 2:36-1.5(d), "Students are eligible for school meal benefits or free milk for the school year and up to 30 operating days in the subsequent school year". As of October 21, 2020, all students who previously qualified for free and reduced lunch in the 2019-2020 school year that have not submitted a lunch application for the 2020-2021 school year, have been reset to "paid" status. Although this has no immediate impact on any student because of the “free lunch for all”, when/if the” free lunch for all” status is lifted, students will be required to pay for their meals (breakfast and lunch) until an application has been received and processed.
To avoid an interruption in benefits please proceed to the Realtime Parent Portal to either fill out an application otherwise, please indicate that you do not wish to apply at this time. Please note that only ONE (1) application per FAMILY, is required to determine qualification status.
