Straddling the continents of Europe and Asia, Turkey tries to be a bridge between West and East. The portion of Turkey's land in Europe may be small (about 5 percent), but the country's largest city, Istanbul, is there. With nearly 13 million people, Istanbul is the third most populous European urban area, after Moscow and Paris.

Special dishes are associated with holy days and celebrations. In Gaziantep,yuvarlama(a blend of ground meat, rice, chickpeas, onions, and spices served with yogurt) is a special dish for the Feast of Ramadan at the end of the Islamic month of fasting. In some of the southern provinces the special meal for that.
About me....
I never really knew a lot of things about turkey I just knew it was the name of a country. I didn't know it was in Asia I never knew where it was at...no that we did this project I know more about turkey.
