Weekly Parent Info

Here a few reminders for the week:

Have you heard the news? Roosevelt is turning 90 years old!!! Can you believe it? It's a very big deal, and we are planning to celebrate at the Roosevelt Open House from 5:30-7:00 PM on Thursday, September 28. The PTO has designed some super cool birthday shirts. IF you would like to order one to wear to the Birthday Bash, follow this link and enter the code: RSVLT90TH. The order is due by September 17 if you wish to have the shirt BEFORE the birthday party. Other cool gear will be available to order when you come to Open House, including the birthday shirts, but if you would like them in advance order now. Don't wait!!

Coffee with the Principal: NEW this year--come to Cub Foods West from 7:30-8:30 AM tomorrow, Friday, September 15, to enjoy a hot cup of coffee (courtesy of Cub) and informal conversation with me, about anything really. This is just a chance for me to chat with Roosevelt parents. We'll do this each month, with September 15th being the first opportunity to do this.

• We had an AWESOME first PTO meeting this week with many NEW faces. Thank you for coming! The Roosevelt PTO is still in need of volunteers to help with the Walk-A-Thon on Friday, October 6. If you are able to help that afternoon, please email Mandy Jacoby at mandy.j.jacoby@gmail.com. It's a FUN afternoon and a great, simple way to be involved. Your help is certainly appreciated!

• The PTO Walk-A-Thon kick-off will be tomorrow, Friday, September 15, in the Roosevelt Gym. Students will get all the information they need to support the PTO's one and only fundraiser. Be looking for information to come home on this day. This year, students who raise $75 or more will receive a super cool pair of Roosevelt socks!

As always, thank you for supporting our work!
