Message from the Principal

Consistent, high-quality instruction for your children is the goal of our staff and planning teams. I am popping in classrooms and want to celebrate what I am seeing; 93% of students completed classroom work and specialist assignments this last week. In the coming weeks, our students are being highlighted for their artistic and musical talents in multiple ways. Families are showing strong support to prioritize student learning. Thank you for this! Your support is so critical and appreciated.

Your support of the changes we need to make and our teachers has been so appreciated during these pandemic times. We will continue to provide high-quality instruction and opportunities for students to connect with their peers virtually. We look forward to seeing our families at socially distanced activities and their engagement with us virtually. Please continue to reach out when you experience something that is tough so we can be a supportive resource in finding solutions.

Lightning, we'll keep the light on for you!!!

Friday, October 16th -- “Lights On Yelm,” began in schools across our district. The idea of a parent leaving a light on for their child coming home late has inspired us to leave a light on to remind our students that we’re anxiously waiting for them to come back and come back safely. Lackamas will leave ALL our classroom lights on Friday nights until 10 pm until our students can return.
