Late fall and early winter are often thought as a time of giving. The reality at Caleb, however, is different. I am astounded by the level of giving that our PTSO offers every month, day, and sometimes by the hour. Beyond the financial support we are so fortunate to receive, the generosity of time, kindness, and spirit provides our Caleb community the support we need to deliver a robust and rigorous educational experience to all students.

I am proud to announce that through the financial support of the PTSO, we were able to provide CPR, AED, and Epi Pen training for 28 Caleb Greenwood staff members. Our very own Mandy Austen of 4th R is a certified trainer and led our session yesterday afternoon. Please consider joining our fabulous PTSO as they continue to make magic happen for our grateful staff.

Families, please be sure that any food your child brings to campus falls within the guidelines of SCUSD's Wellness Policy. As of late, staff have seen an increase in candy, sodas, chips, etc. on the yard in the morning and at recess time. Thank you!

• We return to school on Monday, January 9th.
• We will be closed on Monday, January 16th in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
