The Anoka Speech Team is having another strong season!
The Anoka Speech Team is having another strong season with four 1st place finishes as a team along with several championship individual performances.
Speech is an MSHSL activity that tests the skills of students along 13 categories of public speaking. The categories range from acting to creative writing to the more traditional public speaking models like informative and persuasive speaking. The students are judged through three preliminary rounds with the top finishers making it to the finals. The tournaments are held on Saturdays from January to March.
This activity cures student's fears of public speaking as well as strengthens their skills in writing and research. This team is a no cut varsity team and it's a great way to earn a letter.
