Connecting with Your Child(ren) in a Technological World

Ever find yourself wishing your child will talk to you, will choose to talk to you over using their phone or playing video games? Ever felt frustrated because your child’s device seems more important than you, than their grades, than their contributions around the house? Join Lori Woodley on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 7pm to 8:30 pm for an interactive evening that will shed light on your child’s deep connection to technology and how to balance human connection time with device time. You will leave the evening with insights, tools and relief, there are answers!

All it Takes

Parent Power

Lori is Co-founder, President, and Executive Director for All It Takes, a non-profit organization that teaches bold and compassionate leadership to youth. As a former CVUSD school counselor with more than 25 years of experience, Lori recognizes the compelling need for both students and parents to actively engage in purposeful thought followed by action in order to create desired outcomes including inter-connectedness with others and a reduction in ever-increasing youth risk factors. To build connection and reduce risk factors, Lori developed programs for youth through All It Takes, and for parents through her Parent Power series. Youth programs empower bold, compassionate and purposeful action that results in increased self-efficacy and self-esteem. Parent programs support families in experiencing deeper connection and greater joy while also fostering independence and confidence in their children.

Lori is also a consultant to parents, an author, public speaker and leader in the arts of communication, empathy, social impact and public service. She holds a Masters degree in Educational Psychology.
