Rome !
The civilization of ancient Rome was at one time the best on the planet. Yet it, too, like any other civilization, began as one small settlement. It is located on the Tigris River and it the capital of Italy. A description of Ancient Rone geography would look like a map of the hills, marshes, rivers. The ansectors of Rome were the Estruscans. The first settlers were Latins who lived on the seven hills of Rome. Romelus and Remus were the founders of Rome.At birth they were placed in a basket and set afloat on the Tiber River. The basket came aground at the grotto Lupercal, under a fig tree called Ruminal, where the twins were found and took by a she-wolf,later raised by the shepherd family of Faustulus and and his wife, Acca Larentia.
Colosseum
The purpose of the Roman Colosseum was to be an entertainment place where people would watch all kinds of games and sports. It was the Roman Empire's central stage for gladiatorial combats and the wild beast hunts and also a show of their extravagance and wealth. The colosseum was built between 69 and 79 CE. Vespasian Titus built the colosseum.
Circus Maximus
The Circus Maximus was used for chariot racing and some religious ceremonies

Catacombs were used in ancient times to bury the dead because land was

Aqueducts
An aqueduct is a channel or pipe-line to transport water over a greater distance from a water source to its destination (a city, farm, industry or mill) where it is used or distributed.Julius Caesar started the building of an aqueduct at Antioch. The first aqueduct was built in Rome and construction began in 312 B.C.
Pantheon
The original Pantheon of Rome was built between 27 & 25 BCE, under the
consulship of Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa. It was built to worship gods. Then it was destroyed it and another had to be built.The emperor Hadrian (A.D 117-138)built the Pantheon to replace commander Marcus Agrippa's Pantheonof 27 B.C. which burnt to the ground.

Trajans Columns

Baths Of Caracalla
They were roman public baths, built in Rome between AD 212. Marcus Aurelius Antoninus the emperor Carcalla built the Baths of Caracalla.
Forum
The forum romanum was the center area of city in Ancient Rome. It was used for commerce, buisness, prostitution, and adminisstration of justice to take place. The forum was know as the heart of the city. The Roman Forum was the centre of political, commercial and judicial life in ancient Rome. The Roman Forum was designed by the architect Vitruviusa and built by Emperor Augustus. Built around the seventh century B.C..
Roman Roads
The Romans built their roads and bridges so that their military could travel faster than when they did when they went over rough terrain. Also, with a such a large empire, they needed a very orderly system of travel with connected paths to ensure that soldiers wouldn't get stuck between two villages where a road or bridge had been washed out. Roman messengers also had to be able to travel swiftly from anywhere to Rome to get orders for the military.The first proper roman road was built in 312BC. They believe the emperor of Caracalla ordered these roads to be built.
