District Tennis Results!
Last week our student athletes competed in the annual Small Zone District Tennis Tournament. This is what you have all been waiting for! We had a very strong showing at Blossom!
The final results are Kayla Surpless finished 1st and Maddie Roberts finished 2nd in 8th grade singles! They both defended their titles from last meaning they both are the top girls tennis players in the small zone for the second year in a row! Our 8th grade girls team placed first in the 8th grade girls small zone division! These are all huge accomplishments considering the addition to Eisenhower to the small zone!
Now the boys. Our boys fought and competed to the very end in very close matches. Unfortunately, they were not able to defend their team title this year but we should be even more proud of them this year. They played excellent tennis.
I am very proud of all of our students who competed in this tournament. Thank you Coach Meschwitz for your hard work, coaching, teaching and support of our tennis teams. Go Yearlings!

Robotics at Garner!
This school year, we have been fortunate to be able to teach Robotics at Garner. Throughout the school year, these students have to complete projects as part of the requirements for the FLL competition. The students are asked to present to someone of expertise in a field related to their projects. The most recent set of projects dealt with sustainability and accessibility relating to our city and community.
So, this past week they presented their projects to Councilman Clayton Perry who provided our students with excellent feedback. Our students were able to ask plenty of questions related to city improvements that their projects focused around.
This is another example of the excellent students and teachers we have at Garner. Thank you Ms. Dahlquist for continuing to push our students to learn and excel. Go Yearlings!
