Qualities a Leader Has:
- Vision
- Communication
- Boldness
- Confidence
Cassius
Cassius was a negative leader. He showed leadership, and was a good leader but used his power in a negative way. He had vision, he knew how he wanted things to be. He was a good communicator, he communicated his ideas thoroughly to Brutus in the play Julius Caesar. He also showed boldness by expressing his ideas and visions as he saw them. Lastly, he showed confidence also by expressing his ideas and things to Brutus, and others involved.
Adolf Hitler
Hitler showed qualities that a positive leader would show, but he was a negative leader. He used his power in a negative way, he created a group called Nazis who hated all races that weren't their own. He used vision to show the German people that his way was correct and that he was right about the other races. He used his communication skills to tell the German people his beliefs and visions were for the best of everyone. Hitler was bold, because he used his power to horrible things and he did so knowing that no one could stop him, which also showed his confidence.
Fidel Castro
Fidel Castro was a Cuban leader who ruled Cuba for over 5 decades. He overthrew the dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista in 1959. He closed down newspapers that were opposed to him. He imprisoned thousands of political opponents. He had vision because he knew what he wanted, and he went for it, that also showed boldness and confidence. He also used communication to get other people on his side.
Osama bin Laden
Osama bin Laden was the leader of a terrorist group called al-Qaida. He was killed May 1, 2011. He showed vision by convincing members of al-Qaida that what he wanted was right and that killing innocent people was okay. Bin Laden was to blame for many terroristic acts, such as the 1998 bombings of the U.S. Embassies in Kenya and Tanzania and the September 11, 2001 attacks on the Pentagon and the World Trade Center. He showed boldness and confidence by going through with the attacks.
All the leaders showed vision, this is shown by their actions and the way they did things. They had a vision of what they believed was the way things should be. They also went through with everything that they believed. Example: Hitler caused the Holocaust because he believed his race was superior to all other races. Osama bin Laden went through with all the acts of terrorism he caused, because that's what he believed was right.
All of these qualities impacted society in negative ways. The Holocaust killed over 11 million people. 2,996 people were killed during 9/11. These were good leaders, because they exhibited the qualities of a good leader, but they had terrible visions and they showed their visions by making them reality.
Our reasoning behind this is that all the leaders above had visions in which people were killed, brutally. This impacted society in a very negative way, because it was tragic.
