Eagles' Nest
Family edition - October 2019
Principal's Message
It's hard to believe we are at the end of the first quarter already! I encourage you to check parent portal often to see your child's progress. Additionally, you should have received a couple of notifications regarding their progress. The district will be sending out these emails every other week in an effort to give you pertinent information regarding your child. If you ever have questions about the information you are seeing in parent portal, please feel free to contact your child's teacher! We are happy to help!
During these middle school years, parents may begin to see shifts in behavior and outlook as their children grow and test out more independence. It can sometimes be a challenging job, but keep at it! Your kids need your love, patience, and guidance as they go through these changes, despite how much they may try to create space from their family members. Here is an article I came across to help support you and your child as they go through adolescence.
"You're Gonna Miss This" is a reminder to me about living in the moment, even most frustrating ones, because they go by so quickly and we don't get to have any of that time back. I always thought it was cliché until I had my own children, and realize how true it is!
