City of Westland Compassionate Project
The City of Westland Administration posted this on their Facebook account:
At Monday's Westland City Council Meeting, Westland’s Compassionate City Committee, working in partnership with Wayne-Westland Community Schools acknowledged the recipients of a program that recognized three of the many students nominated from the 17 schools in the district that have demonstrated “Random Acts of Kindness”. Our three winners were Emily DeLane of Franklin Middle School, Monique Oliver of Adams Middle School, and Naomi Dugger of Stevenson Middle School.
Emily comes to the gym during her lunch hour everyday and plays with students from the SXI classroom. Emily also handmade each of the students from the SXI classroom a beautiful backpack with their names on it! (SXI are students who receive Special Education services, for severe multiple impairments).
Congratulations to Emily for being nominated and recognized for her kindness.
