Hippo Nation...Better Together! Week of April 20th

A Note from your CCE Principal

Dear CCES Families--

As you now know, school closures will continue for the remainder of the school year. Our staff at CCE is sad about the decision because we miss our students dearly, but we understand the need to keep each of our CCE families safe and healthy. During a staff meeting this week, our staff shared all the things that they miss about our students and the list was TALL! Long story short, we miss each of you at the creek! You are family!

Even though our buildings are physically closed, the learning continues! We hope that families have seen the positive changes in our google classrooms and the assignments that we are providing for students. Our goal is to continue to make the assignments practical while adhering to TEA expectations for instruction to continue. We have over 85% of all students participating in online learning, but we still need a few more to join in. Remember that students are receiving pass/fail credit for their work online and it is important to keep learning even during this Covid-19 period of time.

Thank you for all that you do to support learning at home, remember that if your child is struggling to complete assignments, teachers can support you. They are just a click away and their school contact information and electronic office hours can be found below.

Cottonwood Creek Elementary has the BEST Staff, Students, and Families! We truly are "Better Together"! Our students are "Legendary" at Cottonwood Creek Elementary!

With Hippo Nation in Mind,

Linda Pachicano

Principal, Cottonwood Creek Elementary

Linda Pachicano

Directora, Primaria Cottonwood Creek

This is an online event.

There you were, doing your thing as a family—and then school, daycare, and life as you know it got cancelled. Parents, you are not alone.

In the midst of a pandemic, it’s okay to feel a little off your game. It’s okay for your parenting style to differ from what it was a month ago. And it’s definitely okay to need some extra time for yourself.

Join our panelists for an open, honest discussion on parenting during the time of COVID-19. We’ll touch on:

  • Responding to new roles, challenges, and opportunities
  • Finding a rhythm and routine that works for your family
  • Resources for keeping your kids active and healthy
