General Reminders

As we enter the last week of September, we are asking families to discuss with their child(ren) two important reminders. Thank you in advance for discussing these topics with your child(ren).

  1. Morning entry takes places daily from 8:10 to 8:25 a.m. Students should enter through designated grade level entrances and report directly to their Advisory classroom, unless they are reporting to the cafeteria to eat breakfast. Students eating breakfast at school should enter through door #5 and report directly to the cafeteria. Breakfast students should report directly to Advisory after they are finished eating in the cafeteria.
  2. Masks are expected to be worn properly when indoors and on buses. This means making sure your child's mask fits properly over his/her chin, mouth, and nose. In addition, students should bring an extra mask to school in the event his/her mask breaks or needs to be changed during the day. Please check that your child is wearing his/her mask properly and has an extra mask at school.

Upcoming Safety Drill

We have our yearly Run-Hide Fight safety drill scheduled with the Villa Park Police Department on Thursday, September 30. Please click here to read about information regarding this drill.

D45 Crosstown Soccer Classic

Please join us for the District 45 Crosstown Soccer Classic at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 27 at Willowbrook High School. The Jackson and Jefferson Middle School soccer teams will match up on the field under the stadium lights at Willowbrook. The D45 Crosstown Classic is an annual tradition that also includes students, staff, and families cheering on our Jaguar soccer team! There is no admission charge for this event. Come out and support Jackson, Jefferson, and District 45...let’s hope for a JA win!

While you are cheering on our soccer stars for another JA win, please make sure to stop by the Villa Park PTA Council table to pick up our Crosstown scarf swag. Scarves cost $20 cash (or $20.75 if paying by credit). This scarf fundraiser supports activities that benefit all students, including the District 5K, STEM Day, and the D45 Art Show. Build your D45 spirit wear while supporting a great cause!
