Typing Expectations for Students

The IDOE has recently changed the requirements for the ELA portion of ISTEP+. Starting with the 2015-16 school year, schools have the OPTION to have students test both sections of ELA on a device (In other words, both the Applied Skills AND Multiple Choice portions could be tested online). However, beginning with the 2016-17 school year, ALL students across the state will test both portions online. It is imperative that students develop typing skills starting as soon as possible. Check out some of these resources that might help your students grow their keyboarding skills.
