Ecology in the Savannas
Animals native to African savannas include African elephants, zebras, horses, and giraffes. Many animals in the savanna are herbivores, which means they eat plants, and there is plenty of grass in the savanna. Humans use Savannas as a source of food as well as other things such as fibre and wood production. Minerals are taken from these Savannas. Savannas have been transformed by humans into many things such as national parks, tourism areas. Predator relationships in a Savanna are a lion & a zebra. The cheetah enery the Zebra. Lion preys on gazelles.
One of the endangered species in the savannas are the black rhinoceros. Black Rhinos are becoming extinct because they are threatened by changing environmental and reduced habitat. They are native to sub-Saharan Africa and are characterised by 2 horns and a grey color
