We are holding three sessions for prospective parents today; 11am, 1:30pm and 4:30pm. In zone and out of zone families are welcome to visit to learn more about our wonderful school.
‘Shine and Dream’ Production - Tuesday 3 August to Thursday 5 August
The cast of ‘Shine and Dream’ are ready to wow their audiences next week! Tickets to our production matinee and evening performances can be purchased through Kindo. It is going to be a spectacular show which you will not want to miss!
Learning Hui - Thursday 12 August 1.00 - 7.00 pm
Teachers are looking forward to connecting with you at our Learning Hui. Bookings can be made via www.schoolinterviews.co.nz. Use the code yx8v5 to book a student-led conference with your child’s Area teacher. Prior to, or after your conference, we invite you to visit the Specialist Expo in the hall, or visit Te Whare Ako and discuss Maori and Pasifika matters with Matua Lewis and Ludwig Worrall-Bader. I will be based in the hall foyer with a few Board members; please stop by and have a chat with us.
Wellbeing
The Wellbeing focus for Term 3 is Positive Purpose. Positive purpose is believing in and serving something greater than oneself, and deliberately engaging in activities for the greater good. The students will be investigating their own core values and the importance of having a positive purpose.
We are looking forward to hosting Nathan Wallis in our school hall on the evening of 16 August. Nathan is Aotearoa's well renowned neuroscience educator, and will be speaking about neuroplasticity and the brain's power to change your life. Tickets are available through:

AIMS Games
Our sporting individuals and teams have been preparing to compete in the upcoming AIMS Games later this term. We will keep you updated via our school Facebook page.
Performance Groups
Our choir, instrumental group and kapa haka have weekly rehearsals on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. Please ensure you have signed up to these groups on SchoolAppNZ to ensure you receive alerts about rehearsals and upcoming performances.
Road Safety
With the inclement weather, we have more traffic congestion on Butley Drive. Please take time to familiarise yourself with our key road safety messages.
School Policies and Procedures Topic Review
Our Behaviour Management, and Concerns and Complaints procedures are due for review. You can access these topics via https://www.schooldocs.co.nz. Our username is farmcove, and password is inclusion. Feedback is welcomed and can be submitted via the Schooldocs dashboard.
As I said...a term packed to the brim!
