Principal Message
Thank You Lord for all Your blessings and gifts to us.
We thank You for the precious gift of family and friends.
For all who are able to spend time with us this
Thanksgiving weekend and for those who are far away.
Thank You for Your gifts of abundance and
grace and for being with us at all times.
We thank You for showing us glimpses of heavenly beauty
through the eyes of our loved ones, through nature,
songs of praise and even the warm sunlight.
We thank You for the gift of our beautiful French language
and our wonderful École OLPH Catholic school community.
We are grateful for the roof over our heads and the food on our tables.
We thank You for all those You have brought into our lives
to teach us, lead us, guide us and protect us.
Bless each of them in a special way.
Help us to remember the less fortunate
and those in need at this time as well.
We ask this prayer through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen
God Bless,

A Reading From The Gospel for Sunday, October 13, 2019
On the way to Jerusalem Jesus was going through the region between Samaria and Galilee. As he entered a village, ten lepers approached him. Keeping their distance, they calld out, saying, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!"
When he saw them, he said to them, "Go and show yourselves to the priests." And as they went, they were made clean.
Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice. He prostrated himself at Jesus' feet and thanked him. And he was a Samaritan.
Then Jesus asked, "Were not ten made clean? But the other nine, where are they? Was non of them found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?"
Then he said to him, "Get up and go on your way; your faith has made you well."
The Gospel of the Lord.

Lunch Hour Changes!
In order to allow more space on fields and to proactively prevent negative student altercations, we are going to try a new system.
For grade 7 & 8, nothing changes. The students will eat first and then go outside for recess.
However, for the students in grades 5 & 6, the lunch schedule will be flipped. The students will immediately go go outside to play at 12:04 p.m. and come inside to eat their lunch at 12:25 p.m.
Hopefully this will lead a more pleasant outdoor experience for all.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact M. Morin at alyrem@eics.ab.ca

In collaboration with Coats for Kids and Families, we will be a drop off location for any new or used winter wear (Coats, toques, mitts, etc.) from now until November 1, 2019. These winter items will be dry cleaned thanks to Page the Cleaner and distributed throughout our communities.

Dear Parents,
With the increase of students with serious allergies in our school, we are attempting to create a “Nut-Aware” environment.

Every child’s health & safety are important to us and we appreciate your active concern and response to this request.
God Bless.

If your child is taking a bus with EICS instructions are attached on how to set up BusPlanner.

Cancelled or delayed busing notifications will be sent out through BusPlanner, we will not be using Synervoice in the future.
You can set up BusPlanner to receive messages by email or text or landline.
Please set up the BusPlanner through the web first, as this will give you the route number that is required for the BusPlanner App.

End of Day Procedures
Please make sure that you child(ren) know if they are to take the bus or if they are getting picked up at the end of the day.
Should a student need to confirm their end of day plans, we ask that all students make their arrangements during the morning recess (10:19 a.m. - 10:34 a.m.) or during the lunch hour (12:04 p.m. - 12:47 p.m.).
This will reduce the confusion and rush at the end of the day and will also ensure that your child(ren) does not miss the bus.
If a student comes to the office at the end of the day and are unsure how they are getting home, we will be sending them home on the bus.
