Adopt-A-Pet
You can save a life life right now
Your Options
When you start thinking about getting a pet there are TWO ways that you can go. Option one Buying a pet, now this way can be easier to do. But when you go this route you are supporting puppy-mills. “Puppy-mill puppies are sold to unsuspecting consumers in pet stores, over the Internet, and through newspaper classified advertisements to whoever is willing to pay for them.” Says the Humane Society. But there is a better way. The other way is Adopting. You can contact a local animal shelter to get started. The Humane Society also says “Around 2.7 million adoptable dogs and cats are euthanized each year in the United States simply because too many people give up their pets, and too few people adopt from shelters.” Do you realize how sad that is! You can start helping and prevent at least one of these deaths today by just contacting your local animal shelter.
Reinforcement Brainstorm
Negative Reinforcement Brainstorm: Every year in America, it's estimated that 2.11 million puppies are sold that originated from puppy mills, while 3 million are killed in shelters because they are too full and there aren’t enough adoptive homes. Also, puppies in mills are found with bleeding or swollen paws, feet falling through the wire cages, severe tooth decay, ear infections, dehydration, and lesions on their eyes, which often lead to blindness.
