Lincoln Bulletin-updates

What a wonderful start to our school year, I have enjoyed seeing everyone back and also welcoming our new students that have joined the Lincoln community. Kids have enjoyed our playground, new markings on our blacktop and Ms. Molidor our new music teacher, and next week they will be introduced to EMPOWER our new special. This will be highlighted in a few weeks during our curriculum night.

As I mentioned Wednesday afternoon, I was so impressed with everyone's ability to be flexible during our brief power outage. We have had many special events recently. I would like to thank our PTO for the Welcome Back Coffee on supply drop off/ We look forward to our ice cream social next Wed. evening.

Today we had classes rotate through a variety of stations to review and go over our school-wide expectations. This year Lincoln staff has determined that we will have three clear school-wide expectations to guide all of our behaviors across the school. These expectations are referred to currently as 3 Be's-

Be responsible

Be respectful

Enjoy your weekend!

PICTURE DAY - Thursday, September 2, 2021

This year Color Portraits is sponsoring a PRE-PAY picture program. Payment may be done online or by phone. See flier below for more information.

Saints Family Fun Fest

Saints Family Fun Fest is an annual event to celebrate the end of summer, and kick-off the new school year. Sponsored and produced by the Athletic Boosters, the event centers around our student-athletes, highlighting the many sports teams at St. Charles East. Additionally, the event is an opportunity to bring families new and old from the community to visit the school that plays such a significant part in people’s lives. To frame the motto, “It’s a Great Day to be a Saint!”

This is just a reminder to label all of your children’s belongings (hoodies, coats, water bottles, lunch boxes, etc). We have already had some items turned into the Lost & Found with no names on them. If these items are labeled, we can bring them back to your student’s class.

Please join the PTO for an Ice Cream Social on Wednesday, 8/18/21 outside on the Lincoln playground!

Bus/Transportation Home/Pick up

Thank you very much for your patience in working out our after-school bussing. We are implementing a staggered dismissal and roll call before students enter the bus, to ensure we have all students on the bus before it leaves Lincoln. This is taking some time at the beginning of the year. Ms. Kappele and Mrs. Fick are doing an excellent job working out the most efficient system for dismissal. The first few weeks are an adjustment time for drivers, kids, and school personnel our top priority is to keep all kids safe.

Thank you also for continuing to communicate any changes in after-school transportation through a letter in the morning to the teacher, and our office staff. Please include the office, when changing dismissal procedures.

Also, when walking please leave your pets at home, Dogs are not permitted on school grounds during school hours 7:30-3:45 on school days.
