What is a stem cell?
Stem cells are unspecialized cells found in ulticellular organisms, from which differentiated cells develop. There are two types of stem cells, adult and embryonic. Adult stem cells are limited to what they can replace and turn into, making them multipotent. Embryonic stem cells are pluripotent, which makes them capable of producing every cell in the body.
So, what's the problem?
Stem cell research is a controversial topic. Some may call the usage of embryonic stem cells unethical, since they can be considered a form of life. Stem Cells R Cool, however, is here to tell you that stem cell research SHOULD be approved. Some benefits of said research would be severe heart attack reversal, treating brain damage, regenerate damaged nerves, and repair organs.
