Joyfully Embracing Our Mission
We, the St. Clare School Community, joyfully embrace the Gospel mission entrusted by Christ to His Church.
Believing that everyone is made in the image and likeness of God, we cherish and celebrate our diverse backgrounds and cultures.
The Many Rays of Hope: A reflection from Henri Nouwen
The Easter season is a time of hope. There still is fear, there still is a painful awareness of sinfulness, but there also is light breaking through. Something new is happening, something that goes beyond the changing moods of our life. We can be joyful or sad, optimistic or pessimistic, tranquil or angry, but the solid stream of God’s presence moves deeper than the small waves of our minds and hearts. Easter brings the awareness that God is present even when his presence is not directly noticed. Easter brings the good news that, although things seem to get worse in the world, the Evil One has already been overcome. Easter allows us to affirm that although God seems very distant and although we remain preoccupied with many little things, our Lord walks with us on the road and keeps explaining the Scriptures to us. Thus there are many rays of hope casting their light on our way through life.
Dear St. Clare School Families,
Dear St. Clare School Families,
Today, we experienced Many Rays of Hope in our Bishop, in our Very Important People, in our faculty and staff and most of all in our students.
Many have expressed the joy they felt during a meaningful mass
...with beautiful voices raised in song
...the Word proclaimed with spirit
...the moment of levity and deep connection with our Bishop.
Our classrooms were filled with wonderful encounters between different generations and student leaders in the corridors ready to help at a moment’s notice.
Fr. Prosper’s homily of The Footprints in the Sand reminded us that everything is possible with God. He will lift us up and carry us through whatever difficulty we may encounter. For today, we are filled with gratitude to be able to spend time with our retiring Bishop (St. Clare is the only school that Bishop agreed to visit since his fall in October!), our VIPs and one another. That’s enough HOPE to sustain us for the moment. Grateful.

It was a joy to witness!
Thank you to the first grade class and to Swenson for sponsoring the Teacher Appreciation Lunch. We felt pampered and loved.
Thank you to our parents who respond quickly for help with our facilities. We are grateful for your expertise and guidance.
I am grateful to be able to work with administrative and education professionals who provide care, comfort, formation and enrichment to your precious children. A very special thank you to Miss Cherell who is the glue who holds it all together! We are so very lucky to have her!
May the weekend afford you time to find many rays of hope around you.
