Mercy Killing's
Mercy killing and euthanasia, it has been a rather touchy subject that most people have either heard of or talked about. There are many situations where someone may experience a great deal of suffering, either they were horribly injured to the point that they were paralyzed or almost entirely a "vegetable". Mercy killing is where someone who is very sick or badly injured in order to prevent any further suffering. Mercy killing is only legal depending on the situation, but it is usually not legal to perform.
Mental Retardation
Mental Retardation is a medical condition that causes something abnormal to a person's thinking, feeling, mood, and the way that they relate to other and other daily functions. A mental illness is almost like diabetes, diabetes is a disorder of the pancreas, well mental illnesses are medical conditions that can be very severe.
The Great Depression
The Great Depression was the longest - lasting economic downturn in history of the Western industrialized world. The Great Depression started soon after the stock market crashed in the year of 1929, this sent Wall Street into a panic and wiped out millions of investors. During the next several years investment and consumer spending dropped, this caused a large decline in industrial output and rising levels of unemployment. In the year of 1933 the Great Depression reached its lowest point, 13 to 15 million Americans were unemployed and nearly almost of the countries banks had been shut down.
Pulitzer Prizes
During the 19th century, Joseph Pulitzer stood out as an American journalism. While Joseph was writing his will during the year of 1904 he made up the Pulitzer Prizes as a way to encourage someone to do something. While doing this Joseph made it possible by winning with four different awards such as, journalism, four letters and drama, one for education, and four traveling.
