Smarter Balanced State Assessment - Save the Date
Dear Woodin Families,
On April 26th, Woodin 3rd-5th grade students will begin state testing. The Smarter Balanced Assessment window runs through the end of May. These Smarter Balanced Assessments measure the full range of the Common Core State Standards. Teachers are preparing students for this experience by embedding specific content and language found on the assessment into everyday instruction. Following Spring Break we will send out more specifics on schedules and how you can support at home. For now, please mark your calendars.

NEWS FROM THE HEALTH ROOM
Spring is beginning to come, little by little. The rain and cold continues to create wet adventures for our students. Please remember to tuck a change of clothes into your student’s backpack, so they can change if they end up in a puddle during a wet recess.
Our Food Bank is continuing to support our families. Please come by, there are plenty of items. If you would like to make an order and pick it up, just e-mail or call me, and we can arrange for the food to be ready for you to come when it is convenient.
We continue to have families being infected with the COVID virus. It is very helpful when we are able to track all the various infections students are experiencing. Please continue to contact the office when your student is unwell and sharing their symptoms, this helps us to know what infections are occurring.
Please contact me if you want to walk through the current protocol regarding COVID infections. It can be overwhelming, and together we can figure out the timeline and process for your student to re-enter school, after their infection has ended.
Wishing everyone a healthy and happy spring!
