Spotlight on Our Full-Time Student Veterans
In this week’s student spotlight we would like to acknowledge our 11 Veterans in the Full-Time Program. With Veteran’s Day this week it is important to shine the light on this special group and thank them for their sacrifice and service. The CMC is committed to helping our Veteran students transition their military experience into corporate careers upon completion of their graduate business degrees. Thanks to the efforts of Graziadio Veterans Business Society, the entire week is filled with events focused on the experiences of Veterans. Led by Rob Voyles and Mario Schweizer, GVBS gives members a place to network, build new relationships and share common struggles they face trying to leverage their experience and translate it onto their resumes and interviews in a way that will appeal to hiring managers who may be negatively biased towards veterans.
Collectively our Veteran students have served in the U.S. Army, U.S. Marines Special Operations, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Airforce and U.S. Navy. They have been deployed to countries including Afghanistan, Iraq, Kosovo, Qatar, Japan, Hong Kong and Germany. As soldiers these Veterans have achieved high marks and rankings for their service, been awarded medals, a Bronze Star and issued top secret security clearance. They have coordinated efforts with agencies including the CIA, NSA and DIA, and commanded teams of soldiers. Let’s salute them and thank them for their sacrifice and service:
Lucas Bennett – U.S. Coast Guard
Keith Hoogland – U.S. Marine Corps
Joshua James – U.S. Army
William Kong – U.S. Navy
Jen Oh – U.S. Air Force
Anthony Pucci – U.S. Army
Brad Rode – U.S. Coast Guard
Mario Schweizer – U.S. Marine Corps
Tim Stolfi – U.S. Marine Corps
J. Soren Viuf – U.S. Navy
Rob Voyles - U.S. Army
