Sandalwood Elementary Newsletter
February 2022
From the Principal's Desk
Wow, can you believe we are into the third quarter already. This year seems to be flying by. I must say that I am impressed by the resilience of our staff and students as they have continued teaching and learning with the high standards we set at the beginning of the year even through the Omicron surge. We are excited to celebrate Black History Month here at Sandalwood. While we strive to celebrate the contributions and learn about the Black experience during the entire school year, this month we will include daily spotlights and offer a family book project to recognize the importance of the Black experience to our nation’s history, culture, and vitality.
A few reminders:
- Dogs are not permitted on school grounds. Please do not bring dogs to drop off or pick up students.
- We do not dismiss students for early dismissal after 3:10pm. Please make arrangements to pick up your child prior to 3:10pm or at dismissal 3:30pm. We do this to ensure a safe dismissal process for all students here at Sandalwood. Thank you for your support and understanding!
-Mrs. Lingenfelder
