Kindergarten - 2nd grade
Animals Copy and Paste
Students use copy and paste to classify insects, amphibians, mammals, reptiles, fish, and birds. Students use the copy and paste template to copy and paste the animals into the correct classification column. Students can right click copy and right click paste or use keyboard shortcuts "Ctrl C" and "Ctrl V". Students can use the "undo" button or "Ctrl Z" to fix mistakes. *** The worksheet could be changed to go with whatever you are teaching at the time.
Writing - What can birds do?
Students write information explaining two things that birds can do. Students practice writing 3 sentences using capitalization and punctuation. Students also learn to search for clipart in Microsoft Word, and then insert and size their clipart. Students format the text using a larger font size and print and / save their work.
3rd - 5th Grade
Halloween Pumpkin Acrostic
Students use the Halloween pumpkin acrostic template to create their own unique seasonal acrostic. Students add related clipart to decorate and personalize their acrostic.
Tip: Students enter their data in the hidden text boxes next to the acrostic letters. Students type the first word in the box and Microsoft Word will automatically capitalize the the first letter they typed after they hit the space bar. Student can revert that first letter back to lowercase by pressing CTRL + Z (undo).
Tip: Inserting clipart can unexpectedly move other elements in the acrostic. Students can position clipart using the text wrapping feature in Microsoft Word.
Graphic Organizer for a personal narrative story
This is a graphic organizer for students to develop a personal narrative story. Students first summarize what happened, when it happened, where it happened, and who was there. Students then add the story details using the beginning, middle, and end sequencing format. Students download the graphic organizer and open in Microsoft Word or compatible word processor.
