Weekly Update 4.30.2020
Keeping us connected during the COVID-19 school closure.
Principal's Post
Here we are coming to the close of another fun week! As you may already know, April was a celebration for poetry. To that end, today (Thursday, April 30th) is Poem in Your Pocket Day. The idea is to find a poem, put it in your pocket, and share it with others you meet throughout your day. Our school community has been sharing various poems today through this Flipgrid. Even after today, feel free to view our poems and to add your own poetry video(s). Just click on the large green + symbol to begin recording. If you have problems getting into Flipgrid, don't worry - just post the video in your Seesaw homeroom class! If you need a code to join the Flipgrid, use a9c162cb.
Also, please see the information below about showing our thanks for next Friday's virtual First Friday celebration. We are very grateful for everyone who has continued to keep our community moving forward during this challenging time. To all of the Quakertown families who are leaving their homes every day to help our community, we want to say "Thank you!" and "Please continue to be safe."
To all of the Trumbauersville students, it is always great to see you in our live google meet sessions and to read your Seesaw posts. Keep up the good work!
Kindly,
Adam

From the Counseling Office:
I’ve learned an important lesson in all of this, however, that I would like to share with all of you, as it has resonated strongly with me on many levels during this time of insecurity and change. Regardless of whether you’re the type of parent or person who lives life bound to a schedule guided by neatly checked off boxes on your to-do lists, or lives life by the seat of your pants, happy most days that your children are even wearing pants (whether they're on forward, backward, or inside out, it still counts!) I've found this one message to be clear and true -

As always, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or for additional supports. Thank you!

In order to keep our friends and families healthy we are staying at home and following the mitigation guidelines put forth by the CDC. However, how many of us know what to do if someone in our family becomes ill? We should all think about developing a plan in case we are sick with COVID-19 or think we might have COVID-19. Please view the fact sheet and video (below) to learn how we can protect our families and reduce the chance of spreading the virus in our home and community. Thank you and stay healthy.
