MTRS Student and Family Update
Dear Students and Families,
I can hardly believe that next week is Thanksgiving. Even though our celebrations may look different this year, I still plan on pausing during this day to reflect on what I am thankful for and perhaps just send some positive energy out into the world for a pandemic-free 2021!
I’m excited to share that MTRS was featured this month in the Next Generation Learning Challenges' (NGLC) national newsletter! The article highlights distributive leadership at MTRS, which is a primary focus of our all-school redesign work through our Trailblazer Model. I am so proud of the work our educators have taken on and the progress we've been making with our grant implementation. You can read the NGLC article here: https://mailchi.mp/nextgenlearning/your-nglc-practitioners-guide-for-nov-20-2020-mtrsdl
REMINDER: Wednesday, Nov. 25 is a half day. On this day, students will start in the morning and end at 11:30 a.m. Please see the schedule below. Round 1 of activities has ended and students will begin round 2 following the break. Students will receive email invites from activities teachers by Dec. 1.
Wednesday, November 25 is a half day. Below is the schedule:
MTRS & District Surveys ~ We need your feedback!
As part of our Trailblazer redesign model at MTRS, caregivers--we need YOUR feedback! Please take a few moments to take this brief survey. This information is an important piece of our grant work which will be used by the MTRS Mass IDEAS Grant Team to make adjustments to our redesign plan and the ways in which we support and engage caregivers. Thank you in advance for taking the time to complete this survey: https://forms.gle/jcLQ76AjhLHRwCGk9
Earlier this week, Superintendent Stant emailed families a survey regarding the proposed Hybrid In-Person learning model. If you have not yet completed the survey for your family, please take a moment to share your feedback by Monday, Nov. 23. The survey will close at 5 p.m. Click here for the survey.

GCC CDEP Program still accepting Applications
GCC has decided to host a make-up information session for students who are interested in CDEP and have not attended a mandatory session yet. If there are any students who are interested in CDEP and meet one of the eligibility criteria (first generation, low income, underrepresented minority group) please attend the make-up session.
We are accepting students to this program on a first-come first-serve basis (if they meet eligibility) and currently there are still seats remaining so it is critical that they come to this meeting in order to be eligible to apply.
The session will be held on Tuesday, November 24th at 7pm. It will be held virtually on the following Zoom link: https://zoom.us/j/99367224274.
