Lion Ledger
November 6, 2020
Message From Mrs. Robertson
We have reached the end of first term. Congratulations on a job well done! During the first term you and your child have demonstrated grit through perseverance to navigate virtual learning, grace through patience as we worked out the kinks and gratitude through your words and actions during conferences. The thankfulness we have for you is beyond measure.
As we prepare to beginning of term two next week, we want to focus our attention on recognizing student leaders. Therefore, we will be bringing back the Lion Leader Awards! Previously these students were recognized with a positive phone call home, from an administrator and a photo that hung on the Lion Leader board. During our virtual recognition of Lion Leaders will be continue to make positive phone calls and add recognition of students in the Lion Ledger. (with parent permission) I am so looking forward to making a lot of phone calls during term two!!
Have a fabulous weekend and stay safe!
Yours in education,
Kimberly Robertson

Book Exchange Updates
Pick-up: Book Pickup is next week! Books will be available in the front vestibule of the school, Monday, November 9 through Friday, November 13 from 9-11AM or 1-3PM.
How do we know if our family has books to pick up?
If your child used the LS2 catalog to request books prior to Monday, November 2, those books are ready for pick-up. You can check your child’s account to verify he/she has new checkouts before driving to the school! Access directions here.
What are the dates for the next Book Exchange cycle?
Students should place holds in the LS2 catalog by Sunday, November 15 for pickup on November 23 or 24. Please note that Book Pickup will only be available on 2 days in this upcoming cycle because of the Thanksgiving holiday. See our How-To Guide and Video for a refresher on placing holds
Book Exchange materials can also be found on the library webpage and in the students’ Media Schoology courses. Please contact Mrs. O’Toole through Schoology or via email maria.otoole@fcps.org with any questions.
