Woodland's May Newsletter
5/6/2019
Of all the special joys in life, The big ones and the small, A mother's love and tenderness are the greatest of them all.
How Many More Days?
It is hard to believe we have less that 30 days of school left in this school year. Please continue to check your child's book bag every night. There are a lot of special activities and field trips coming up in the next few weeks. Please feel free to contact your child's teacher with any concerns you may have about your child's progress. Summer is right around the corner. Encourage your child every day to find some time to read. This will help keep their skills fresh.
Teacher Appreciation Week
Teacher and School Nurse Appreciation Week the week of May 6-10. We feel so incredibly blessed to have such an amazing team at Woodland Elementary. They truly go above and beyond to ensure our kids have the best care and education. On Thursday, 5/9 The Woodland Home and School will be providing a very special lunch for our staff. Thank you for everyone who participated.
Safe To Say Something: Elementary Video
On Tuesday, May 7, all Methacton School District Elementary Schools will be showing a short (less than 3 min) cartoon video to our K-4 students regarding the PA statewide Safe2Say Something initiative. Safe2Say Something is a youth violence prevention program. For more addition information regarding Safe2Say Something please click on the following link: https://www.safe2saypa.org/parents-educators/
