Take Note

  • Since school was cancelled Friday Sept. 14th, I'll need to pick a makeup day or add to end of year.
  • Jon Mielke from the district office is coming to visit Monday about lunch time. He is visiting both campuses so I will be touring with him from about 12:30-1:30.
  • Watch for ILEARN test administrator training coming week of Oct 1st. This is mandatory for all administering the ILEARN and IREAD test.
  • I'll need ILEARN test security agreements signed and turned in to me by the end of the month. By signing this document, you are indicating you have watched video and agree to all that is on the agreement.
  • Open enrollment for health insurance opens on October 15th and ends November 1st. You will be receiving a more detailed email from CPS the week of Oct 8th.
  • Tornado drills Monday and Wednesday morning this week
  • Fire drills Thursday and Friday morning the following week (9/24)

Flipgrid is a phenomenal new student voice tool. There are so many uses for this from students practicing their speaking skills, to explaining math problems to giving students a voice who normally would not share anything. What is even more awesome is that all the features are now free, even the ones that were on the premium plan. There are also a ton of new features that make it easier to use than ever before. Click on the link to see a bunch of resources curated by someone I follow on Wakelet (another really cool new tool being featured next week).
