Alabama Library Media Updates
Advocating for Alabama School Libraries
Cristin M. Dillard, Educational Specialist for Library Media
I look forward to working with you as I take on the role as the Library Media contact at the ALSDE. I want each of you to know my focus is to advocate for school libraries and the important role you play as the leader of the library media program.
A little about me, I have been in the field of education since 2007. I have served as a 9-12 social studies teacher in Tuscaloosa City Schools, 9-12 social studies teacher and library media specialist in Pike County Schools, information specialists at Fort Rucker Primary School with DoDEA, and Technology Integration Coach for Enterprise City Schools.
I want you to know you can reach out to me if you have questions or need clarification. My contact information can be found at the bottom of this newsletter. One of the goals I have for this year is to complete the update of the library media handbook Dede Coe worked hard on to start the process for updating.
