BrightBytes

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are partnering with BrightBytes, an educational research and analytics company, in order to learn more about our students’ school and home technology use for learning.

We are reaching out to ask you to take part in our school questionnaire. Your participation is essential to help us form a more complete picture of technology use for learning in our students’ lives, and will help your child's school choose the right technology for their classrooms. Please know that all of your responses will remain anonymous to protect your privacy. The questionnaire will take approximately 5 minutes to complete.

The last day to complete this questionnaire is March 27th. Please respond using the link below:

Library Requests!

The library is asking for a donation of one gently used bookcase for the entryway that will house books that are in the home languages of our students. The size and number of shelves is not important. Contact april.stone@leanderisd.org to donate.

Our Four Points community is the home to many families from around the world. There is so much that we can learn from one another – inside and outside of the classroom. At FPMS, we would like to create a space so that your family’s unique culture can be explored by others through a powerful medium… books. In order to achieve this goal, our school will be accepting donations of books written in different languages. These titles will be available for all students to peruse so that they may discover a culture that is as unique as each child in our school. If you have titles that you would like to donate, they can be placed in the bin located in the foyer at the front of the school. Thank you for your support of your child’s education within our global community.

Thank you,

April Stone

FPMS Art Supplies Needed!

The Art room is in need of cardboard tubes, especially tubes from the inside of paper towel rolls. If you are able collect them and send them to the art room, it would be hugely appreciated! Students are making cardboard constructions.

P.S. If you know anyone who may want to help my classroom, please pass this along!

Please respond to directly by emailing me at maggie.suisman@leanderisd.org.

Thanks so much,
Maggie

Note from the clinic

Please remember to submit documentation to the clinic, for immunizations received. This is especially important for our 6th graders having well-check visits this Spring, as they’ll be due the meningococcal and Tdap immunizations to start 7th grade. Thank you for your assistance.

LISD Transfer Window Now Open

In Leander ISD, we believe students receive a quality education regardless of the campus they attend; however, we understand there are circumstances when families desire for their student to attend a school other than their zoned campus. The transfer window to accommodate such requests for the 2020–21 school is open through March 31.

For more information, visit the student transfer information page of the LISD website.
