Happy New Year
Let's start the New Year right
There are lots of activities/events taking place when school resumes on January 6th. Please check with your child and their teacher to ensure you don't miss out on Student Led Parent Conferences, Ren Star testing, new Direct Instruction classes, and more!
Ren Star testing
We conduct Renaissance Star testing three times a year to capture where students are and how they are growing academically in our program. These scores and data allow us to see if students are learning and improving their Mathematics and English skills while in our program. It is extremely important that students do their absolute best as the state also looks at these scores to determine if we are meeting their educational needs. The testing window is from Dec 16th- January 24th, please check with your child's teacher for their testing dates.
Student Led Conferences January 6-10
Students will be taking ownership of their conferences this year! They will be leading the discussion and sharing what they have accomplished so far for the 2019-2020 school year. Conferences will be taking place the week school returns, January 6-10, 2020. Please check with your child's teacher to schedule your conference.
Students have homework
Students need to have 2-3 units completed and ready to turn in the week of January 13th. Even though students will be on Winter Break, it is still important for them to stay on top of their school work. Please contact your child's teacher if you have any questions.
