WBMS Friday Notes
March 5-9
Reflections from Ms. Perkins
WBMS Parents and Guardians –
I know I am biased, but I want to brag a bit on our wonderful students. Each week I witness critical thought, kindness, and enthusiasm – behaviors I admire in all humans. This week, we only had three days together, but our WEB leaders started a new tradition by offering building tours to our rising 5th grade parents (Their idea!), our Student Council hosted a fun event to tape our Assistant Principals to the wall during lunch to raise money for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (They raised about 4,000 in all through various fund raisers!), hundreds of students walked and rolled to school (even though it was super chilly), and our Symphony Orchestra went to Large Group Performance Evaluations at North Atlanta High School and earned straight superior ratings (Yay!).
Yesterday, we hosted the second annual AHS/WBMS University where educators from both schools shared best instructional practices with one another, and it was truly a fabulous day of community building and learning. Today, our teachers continued their learning through content and course meetings and then supported our first ever Digital Learning Day through office hours.
All in all it was another great week at WBMS! As always, I hope your family enjoys weekend filled with laughter and love.
In collaboration,
Rebecca Williams Perkins
Principal, Webb Bridge Middle School
