Homework In a Cafe brings its next Coffee and Learn Series.

When do you start the academic planning-process- Start of Middle School, end of Middle School, Courses to take, how to handle the SAT or ACT? Do you have questions about the academic planning for your child? How to start the process, the right time and the right course.

We are pleased to have Erika Dietz, a college planning professional with 6 years of experience in one of the most selective admission offices in the country. She leads Guru Academic Advising, a team of certified college counselors who assist students in finding the best fit to launch themselves into their best life. She is a member of the IECA, an organization with high standards for membership for college counselors.

Homework In a Cafe is an after school coaching program, helping students with tutoring and homework help. They specialize in teaching kids how to learn.

ARGYLE BANDS ALL RECEIVED HIGHEST RANK AT UIL CONTEST - CONGRATULATIONS

This spring the Argyle Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band have been hard at work preparing music for the UIL Region 2 Concert and Sight Reading Evaluation. The ensembles performed at the contest on April 3rd and 4th. We are proud to announce that both high school ensembles and both middle school ensembles received straight ones from the adjudicators. Of the 22 ensembles in attendance, only 7 of them received straight ones. Four of them were from Argyle ISD.

KEEP ARGYLE BEAUTIFUL HOSTS ART CONTEST

Each year Keep Texas Beautiful publishes a calendar using artwork from students who entered the “litter prevention” theme contest in grades K through 12. This year Keep Argyle Beautiful is promoting the program and bringing awareness to the contest. 12 Winners receive $100 visa card and their artwork will be featured in the calendar. Keep Argyle Beautiful will choose local winners and award them prizes from the Argyle owned business Bahama Bucs. See www.ktb.org/artcontest for entry form & rules.
