SV Week 23 Update
January Learning & Innovation
School Wide Writing Day for 3-8th grade is this Thursday, Jan. 27. Student must arrive to school with a fully charged Chromebook and be ready to test. This baseline writing exam is administered district wide. Students have been working on the elements of writing all year and this quick write style test will allow them the opportunity to show what they know.
As the weather is warm in the afternoons and more students spend time outdoors, review quick safety tips with your students who may be visiting the parks or riding bikes and scooters throughout the neighborhood. Remind them to look both ways when crossing the streets, be aware of their surroundings, and to travel with a trusted friend or family member. Student safety is a priority on campus and we want students to feel safe in school and off campus as well.

PBIS Update
PTSO Update
There was a mix-up on our post from last week. The Papa John’s restaurant night for Jan. 28th has been rescheduled for later in the Spring. Sorry about any confusion. Please mark your calendars for our next restaurant night on Wednesday, Feb 2nd at Lou Malnatis. A flyer will be sent home as it gets closer with more information.
The Boosterthon Fun Run will begin February 28th with a Virtual Kickoff and will culminate with the actual Obstacle Course on campus on Wednesday, March 9th. More information will follow. As we get closer to the actual event, we’ll be taking a closer look at the Covid guidelines, protocols and procedures for having parents come out to watch and cheer on their child(ren). We already have been working on a few different plans.
Mark your calendars for our outdoor Movie Night on Friday, April 29th on campus. We are so grateful to the families who have reached out to us and fulfilled some of our requests. We now have a projector, large screen, sound system and most recently an air compressor. Thank you so much!
We are still looking for a sponsor for our concessions that would be interested in donating food and drinks, or purchasing food and drinks to sell at Movie Night. If you or your business is interested, we would love to partner with you for this great community event.
