We are now enrolling kindergarten students for the upcoming 2022-23 school year. Kindergarten students must be 5 years old on or before October 1, 2022. Kindergarten is an exciting time filled with wonder and exploration. Young children have a curiosity that naturally leads to STEM.

Honor Award & Graduation Programs
A special evening is planned for all students in fourth grade on Tuesday, May 24, at 6:00 PM.
Awards for grades K-3 will be during the school day on Tuesday, May 24. Everyone is invited to attend. Notices will be sent home to parents of students receiving an award.

Birthday in Lights
Display your birthday wishes on the cafeteria LED Birthday Board. Families can to rent and send a special birthday message to their student for just $5 a day! The money raised goes to PTO funds for the school. Click the picture above to download the form.
Track & Field Day
Track & Field Day is Wednesday, May 25. Please make sure to apply sunscreen to your student(s) before they come to school as we are not allowed to apply it to your student(s). Hydration is important, we ask each student to have a water bottle daily.
Staff Appreciation Week
Camp Invention
The adventure is on this summer with Camp Invention at Brooklyn STEM Academy, June 6-10, from 9 AM - 3:30 PM. The cost is $245; click here to complete a scholarship application worth $100!. Camp Invention is directed by Sharon Goodin.
2022-23 Open House
Open House for the 2022-23 school year will be Tuesday, August 9 from 5:00-6:00 PM. Students and parents can the meet their teacher, visit their classroom and drop off larger classroom supplies. Book rental will also be accepted in the office. Student’s first day of school is Wednesday, August 10. Access the 22-23 school calendar by clicking on the Back 2 School picture above.

Evie
Evie is a first year STEAM ambassador. She is in 3rd grade and has been an incredible addition to our team. She has great ideas and is always willing to jump in when needed. She wanted to be a member because she is passionate about helping to teach others about STEM. In her free time, she enjoys sleeping in.

STEAM FAMILY NIGHT FUN
The Haven Youth Center
School Wide Title 1
Funding has been made available through School Wide Title 1 Services to Brooklyn Elementary for the purpose of providing students with extra support in reading/language arts and math. This extra support is available for all students at Brooklyn Elementary. Classroom teachers, Title 1 Teachers and instructional aides provide assistance through small group and individualized instruction as children demonstrate a need for support. Please contact your teacher about services your child may receive.
