Freelance Round Table #6: SEO/Social Media Marketing For Writers with Special Guest Erik Bauemlisberger
Join us as we discuss SEO optimization and social media marketing strategies specifically for writers with special guest Erik Baeumlisberger.
Erik Baeumlisberger has been professionally active in the areas of search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM) and web design since 1994. Erik has helped companies in varied industries, from healthcare to timeshare, for almost 20 years.
Erik graduated from Ringling School of Art and Design in May of 1999 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Computer Animation. He co-founded an Internet technology start-up in 2001 and worked on exciting projects for MTV’s Rock the Vote campaign and the Franchise Pictures movie Driven.
As the online business world matured, so did Erik’s skill set. In 2004, Erik transitioned from content creator to content marketer. Having accepted a new position at a direct response marketing company, Erik was given the opportunity to learn direct mail, lead nurturing, remarketing and, most importantly, lead generation via organic and paid search.
Erik has successfully lowered lead costs by half and doubled conversion rates for a highly competitive subset of the travel vertical. In 2008 he was invited by Google to participate in the AdWords Travel Summit, a gathering of top paid search marketers at Google’s Mountain View, CA complex.
As a consultant for an automotive brand, Erik contributed to the growth of web traffic (zero to 10k visits per month) as well as the growth of buzz and social media marketing channels (Facebook: zero to 18k likes; Instagram: zero to 11k followers) in only 8 months.
In 2013, Erik made the news as the content of his June 18th tweet was the focus of several articles from major industry news outlets such as Search Engine Land, Search Engine Watch andWebProNews.
Erik currently add his skills in buzz and social media marketing, conversion optimization, and organic search to the amazingly talented team at The Search Guru.
