Respect the Paw - 2023
Message From Mrs. Junker
Home of the Grizzlies ~ Where we learn the importance of "Respecting the Paw!"
Hi Grizzly Families!
As we step into the second marking period, it's a chance for us all to hit the ground running and make the most of our opportunities. I'm thrilled to share the exciting news that one of our own alumni, Mara Justine, has become a finalist on The Voice! Mara's journey exemplifies the power of hard work and staying dedicated to one's dreams. She's living proof that with determination, anything is possible. Let's take inspiration from her success and keep striving toward our goals this marking period. Here's to a fantastic journey ahead for our students and the realization of their dreams!
Warm regards,
Paula Junker
Principal, GTMS

November Assemblies at GTMS
- Turkessa Lee is a clinical worker/therapist who works locally here in Galloway. She joined us here at GTMS for an assembly about ‘Triggers.’ In the assembly Ms. Lee discussed with our students how triggers come from trauma and/or a more overwhelming event than a person was expecting to encounter. She discussed with the students how to deal with triggers, such as being self-aware and providing six steps to follow if they become triggered. She incorporated her life story into the presentation to show students how things triggered her in her life and the steps she took to overcome those triggers.
