Indigenous Peoples' Day: Everything to Know About the Holiday Largely Replacing Columbus
Indigenous Peoples’ Day has been touted as a replacement for Columbus Day for decades, but the movement never got much traction on a nationwide scale. Now, however, with increased awareness of colonizers’ atrocities against Native American and indigenous people of what eventually became the United States, Indigenous Peoples’ Day has seen a groundbreaking amount of support. Here’s what you need to know about Indigenous Peoples’ Day and why it’s so important—and why many feel that the man credited with discovering America may well deserve to be stripped of his celebratory day.

STUDENT OF THE MONTH CELEBRATION
Making sure we take time to celebrate our students for their hard work is our utmost priority at LGAM! Which is why we are so excited to bring back Students of the Month! Every month!
Each teacher selected one student who models our Wolfpack Way on a consistent basis or is showing overall improvement since the beginning of the year.
On Friday, Oct. 8th, we had a great time hosting our first "Student of the Month" celebration which included food, drinks, music, and tons of photos at our photobooth. Sending a big CONGRATULATIONS to all the students that received an award and we look forward to celebrating many more next month.
On Friday, October 8th, all our students got the opportunity to vote for their ASB Officers. Watch the video above to see our nominations. Winners will be announced this week. Stay tuned...
COME BY & SHOW YOUR SUPPORT!
Attached here is the schedule for their upcoming games. If your weekend schedule permits, please stop by and support our students.
