From Pandemic to Proactive: Parenting this Winter and Beyond
It is clear that right now, all of us are living through a very difficult time. Even in the best of
times, parenting can be challenging, but right now, it might seem overwhelming. However,
there are ways that we empower ourselves and our families to thrive through this winter—and
it starts with a little bit of brain science.
Join Donna Volpitta, Ed.D. from Pathways to Empower, as she guides us through her Resilient
Mindset Model, which provides simple explanations for how we can proactively build resilience
and foster mental health. You will leave the two sessions with strategies that you can
implement right away in all aspects of your life.
Have questions you’d like to submit ahead of the session? Email respta4kids@gmail.com

President's Message
What a day to celebrate civil discourse and the right to vote!
Last week our daughters were sorting the powers of government into the legislative, judicial and executive branches of government. It was a fun moment to connect our chance to vote on November 3rd with their studies at school. Let’s show our kids voting in action by dropping off your absentee ballot or voting in person today!

Explore the Arts and Express Yourself
National PTA's Reflections program provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts which boost student confidence and success in the arts and in life.
Each year, over 300,000 students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response to a student-selected theme. This 50+ year-old program helps them explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life.
The theme for the 2020-2021 program year is I Matter Because.... Students submit their completed works of art in one or all of the available arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts.
